Screen Shot 2018 06 28 at 12.58.14 PM copyThanks to grant funding from Texas Parks and Wildlife's Conservation License Plate Program, researchers at the Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture and the U.S. Forest Service are investigating ways to mitigate snake mortality caused by commonly used erosion control materials. Snakes are a vital component of our ecosystem, and it is especially important to prevent the death of threatened species such as the Louisiana pine snake.
